    An industrial visit for Commerce & Management Students

    An industrial visit for B.Com and BBA 1st Year Students was organized by department of commerce and management of Poddar International College to Jaipur Rugs at Mansarovar Industrial Area, Jaipur on 25/08/2022. Jaipur Rugs team informed the students about the whole journey of the company and HR facilities of Jaipur Rugs. Students were informed about the entire operations of weaving of high quality carpet. Students also visited the whole plant. The organisation is managed by Mr. N. K. Chaudhary.

    While students took a tour of the whole place, they gained a lot of information about what goes into the making of a rug. From the idea of a design to obtaining raw materials, from making the finished product to delivering it to the customers, students explored all the steps. Pictures of some award winning rugs were put all over the walls with the most surprising stories behind the making of every rug.

    Dr. Anand Poddar Chairman of Poddar Group of Colleges emphasized on importance of industrial exposure for Students and motivated students to actively participate in such industrial exposures organized by college from time to time.

    An industrial visit by the Department of Commerce and Management for the B.Com and BBA Part I was organised to FruBon (Dev Milk Foods Pvt. Ltd) on 26th August 2022 wherein  students participated. The visit helped the students to know the various methods of milk processing practically through interaction and observation. 

     Dev Milk Foods (DMF) Pvt. Ltd manufactures markets & sells its products under FruBon brand. Frubon is DMF’s most ambitious project that deals with Diary, Ice cream and Bakery products and is spread throughout the state of Rajasthan. 

    The plant is divided into two parts: Dairy plant and Ice – cream manufacturing plant. Students were divided into two batches and taken to both plants alternately. They were explained the production and manufacturing process of milk, curd, paneer and buttermilk in the former and in the latter about the ice cream production and storage. Also, there was an introduction about certain machines like “homogeniser”, etc. Students were also taken to a room with extremely low temperature called “blast room” wherein the ice creams are allowed to set. 

    After the visit to both parts of the plant, there was an interactive session with Senior Manager of the plant where the students asked many questions. In the end FruBon ice-cream was served to all students to have an idea about the products of the company.
