Faculty Development Program on New Education Policy & Ecosystem for Startups.a

Poddar Business School organized a Faculty Development Program on “Role of Academicians in Creating an Ecosystem for Startups” on September 29, 2022, at SSG Pareek PG College, Bani Park, Jaipur. The FDP was conducted by Dr. Ashish Dikshit (Dean Academics, Poddar Business School) and attended by faculty members of Pareek college, distinguished guests, the Secretary, and Board Members of the Pareek College Management committee.

The objective of the FDP was to make the Academicians/ Faculties aware of their role in Creating an Ecosystem for Startups in the current scenario. The information about the Startup India movement, various steps towards patronizing and promoting the movement, and the various new incentives declared for the Startups were shared and same were highly appreciated. Also, the participants unanimously accepted the fact that the pandemic had badly affected the global economy, the industries, hence the job market had also been badly affected. Hence, the best option for the job seekers was to focus on innovation and entrepreneurship/ startups and change from job seekers to job creators.

Here the role of academicians is found to be very crucial in guiding and handholding the students to develop their own startups and focus on entrepreneurship. At the end of the FDP program an award of ‘Guest of Honour”, a trophy was presented to Dr. Ashish Dikshit by Shri. Gaurav Pareek (Board Member) and Secretary Management Committee.
