Academic Visit to Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF)

The objective of organizing the academic visit to the Jaipur Literature Festival was to provide PGDM students with experiential learning and cultural exposure beyond the classroom. The visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of literature, culture, communication, critical thinking, and contemporary social issues through direct interaction with authors, thinkers, and intellectual discourse.

    Description of the Activity

As part of experiential and holistic learning, PGDM Trimester–II students (Batch 2025–27) were taken for an academic visit to the Jaipur Literature Festival.

The Jaipur Literature Festival offered students an enriching platform to attend panel discussions, author talks, book readings, and interactive sessions featuring renowned writers, intellectuals, journalists, and thought leaders from India and across the globe. Students observed and engaged with diverse perspectives on literature, society, leadership, culture, and global issues.

The visit encouraged students to explore the importance of effective communication, storytelling, critical analysis, and cultural sensitivity—key competencies required for management professionals.

    Student Participation and Discipline

All participating students adhered to the prescribed college uniform and followed institutional discipline guidelines throughout the visit. Students demonstrated responsible behavior and active involvement, making the visit both educational and well-organized.

    Learning Outcomes

The academic visit helped students to:

    • Gain exposure to diverse ideas, cultures, and global perspectives
    • Enhance listening, comprehension, and critical thinking skills
    • Understand the role of communication and storytelling in leadership
    • Develop cultural awareness and intellectual curiosity
    • Connect classroom learning with real-world intellectual forums

    Outcome of the Activity

The visit to the Jaipur Literature Festival proved to be a highly enriching experience for PGDM students. It broadened their intellectual horizon and contributed to their personal and professional development. The activity successfully fulfilled its objective of experiential learning and cultural exposure.

The academic visit was a meaningful initiative that complemented the PGDM curriculum by offering learning beyond textbooks. Such activities play a crucial role in nurturing well-rounded, culturally aware, and reflective management professionals.
