In the vast ocean of Indian spiritual wisdom, the Agya Chakra, also known as the Third Eye Chakra, holds a place of profound importance. Positioned between the eyebrows, this chakra is considered the gateway to higher consciousness, intuitive wisdom, and self-realization. As part of the ancient yogic traditions, it governs the mind, thoughts, imagination, and inner vision — faculties that are not only vital for spiritual growth but also for leadership, creativity, and decision-making in today's dynamic world.
The word Agya in Sanskrit means "command" or "authority." This chakra is the sixth energy center in the body, responsible for commanding the mind and connecting the individual with higher dimensions of perception. Represented by a two-petaled lotus and associated with the color indigo, it symbolizes the union of the physical and spiritual realms.
When balanced and activated, the Agya Chakra allows individuals to think clearly, act wisely, and lead with vision—qualities that are essential not just in spiritual paths but in modern business and leadership as well.
Activation Benefits:
Non-Activation Consequences:
An overactive Agya Chakra may lead to delusions, hallucinations, arrogance, or an inflated ego. On the other hand, an underactive chakra can manifest as a lack of direction, low self-esteem, or difficulty concentrating.
Maintaining balance is key — and this balance is achieved through practices like meditation, pranayama (breathwork), visualization, and living in harmony with one's inner values.
At Poddar Business School, the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Center has been established to integrate traditional Indian wisdom into the modern educational framework. The study and practice of concepts like the Agya Chakra are not just about spiritual development—they are about fostering transformational leadership, strategic insight, and value-based decision-making.
Through workshops, seminars, and experiential learning modules, the IKS Center introduces students to tools from Indian philosophy, such as meditation, yogic science, Bhagavad Gita-based ethics, and chakra-based personality development. These tools are increasingly being recognized as essential for holistic management education in the 21st century.
By aligning with ancient principles like those governing the Agya Chakra, students and professionals are empowered to:
The Agya Chakra is not just a spiritual concept; it is a practical framework for awakening leadership potential, enhancing mental performance, and living a purpose-driven life. At Poddar Business School, the IKS Center champions this integration, creating leaders who are rooted in Indian wisdom yet equipped for global challenges.
By recognizing the relevance of such ancient systems in today's corporate and educational environment, Poddar Business School reaffirms its commitment to nurturing visionary, ethical, and conscious business leaders for the future.
