Poddar Business School Organizes Management Play on "Comparison of Business vs. 9 to 5 Job" for MBA and PGDM Students

Poddar Business School, Jaipur, known for its innovative teaching methods and commitment to holistic student development, recently hosted a unique management play titled "Comparison of Business vs. 9 to 5 Job." The event was organized and coordinated by Dr. Amita Vijay, a distinguished faculty member at the school, who consistently encourages students to explore real-world business dynamics through interactive learning. This management play, performed by enthusiastic MBA and PGDM students, highlighted the pros and cons of entrepreneurship versus traditional employment, sparking insightful debates among the audience. By showcasing real-life scenarios of both business ownership and corporate careers, the students delved into topics such as work-life balance, financial risks, stability, growth opportunities, and personal satisfaction. The play effectively highlighted various themes associated with each career choice. For the entrepreneurship side, the focus was on aspects such as risk-taking, innovation, leadership, and financial freedom. Students acting as entrepreneurs portrayed the excitement and autonomy of building a business from the ground up, emphasizing the immense personal and professional growth that can accompany this path. They also tackled the harsh realities of financial uncertainty, long work hours, and stress associated with owning a business. In contrast, the characters representing the traditional 9 to 5 job showcased the stability, work-life balance, and job security that many employees in established organizations enjoy. However, they also touched on potential downsides, such as limited creative freedom, hierarchical constraints, and the slower pace of career advancement compared to entrepreneurship.

Under the Poddar Business School's exclusive ‘Students Development Program’ at the esteemed IIM Indore, the PGDM program students underwent rigorous training on Business Simulation, Case Studies and Innovative Research. Poddar Business School is a leading management institution in Jaipur. With many years of excellence, the management institute offers the best PGDM and MBA programs.

    Impact on Students

The play offered an engaging learning experience for both participants and spectators. By dramatizing these contrasting career options, it encouraged students to critically analyze their own career aspirations. The event left MBA and PGDM students with thought-provoking insights into the complexities of career decision-making, beyond what they might learn in textbooks. It brought out key lessons on self-awareness, risk management, and long-term professional goals. The success of the event can be attributed to the vision and leadership of Dr. Amita Vijay, whose guidance ensured that the play was not only entertaining but also educational. A dedicated educator at Poddar Business School, Dr. Vijay is known for her innovative teaching methods, blending theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
