The Online Orientation Program for the MBA Batch 2025–27 at Poddar Management and Technical Campus commenced on August 4, 2025, with a warm and insightful inaugural session designed to familiarize the incoming students with the academic culture, institutional vision, and future opportunities at PMTC.
The orientation program began with a heartfelt welcome to all students and dignitaries, setting a positive and enthusiastic tone for the day.
Dr. Sunil Kakkar, Dean, Poddar Business School, addressed the students and briefed them about the purpose and objectives of the orientation. He emphasized the importance of self-growth, academic rigor, and industry-readiness as core goals of the program.
The platform was honored with the presence of respected dignitaries, including members of the management, faculty, and esteemed guest speakers.
Dr. Anand Poddar, Chairman, Poddar Group of Institutions, delivered a motivational address encouraging students to pursue excellence and innovation during their MBA journey. He highlighted the institution’s legacy and commitment to holistic development.
Dr. Saurabh Maheshwari inspired students by sharing valuable insights on career readiness, the importance of adaptability, and the evolving expectations of the corporate world.
Dr. Nimit Gupta, Professor, University of the Fraser Valley, Canada (Delhi Campus), delivered an engaging keynote address. His talk focused on global business trends, managerial competencies, and the role of innovation and emotional intelligence in modern leadership. His vast international experience provided students with a global perspective on management education.
Dr. Shiva Sharma, Program Coordinator, elaborated on the institutional structure, academic framework, industry interface initiatives, and the vision of PGI, Poddar Business School, and Poddar Management and Technical Campus. He highlighted the support systems and learning opportunities available to students.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks extended to all the dignitaries, speakers, and participants. Gratitude was expressed for the enriching deliberations and inspiring thoughts shared by the speakers.
The first day of the orientation laid a strong foundation for the students, instilling confidence, clarity, and excitement as they embarked on their MBA journey at PMTC. The session was well-received and appreciated for its structured format and motivational content.
Day 2 Activity Report – August 5, 2025
The second day of the MBA Orientation Program at Poddar Management and Technical Campus was successfully held on August 5, 2025. It aimed at aligning students with the academic framework while nurturing their creative and interpersonal competencies.
Academic Orientation: About the Course and Guidelines Time: 10:15 am – 10:30 am Dr. Sunil Kakkar gave a detailed academic orientation, covering the course structure, credit system, evaluation metrics, and code of conduct. Students were encouraged to take ownership of their academic path and maintain discipline and excellence.
Creative Thinking and Breaking Monotony Time: 10:30 am – 11:30 am Dr. Swapna Shrimali engaged the students in an energizing session designed to unlock their creative potential. Through interactive games and activities, the session effectively broke the monotony and inspired a fresh and innovative mindset.
Upskilling and Soft Skills Development Time: 11:30 am – 12:30 pm Dr. Vaishali conducted a session focused on critical soft skills such as communication, presentation, time management, and leadership. The session was smoothly facilitated by Dr. Shiva Sharma, who encouraged students to reflect on their current skill levels and set goals for improvement.
The day wrapped up with an interactive Q&A session, and students appreciated the engaging learning experience that laid a strong foundation for their future growth.
Day 3 Activity Report – August 6, 2025
On Day 3 of the MBA Online Orientation Program at Poddar Management and Technical Campus, students had the privilege to learn from distinguished industry and research leaders through two engaging sessions.
The first session was conducted by Mr. Rvain Sen, HR Head, Microsoft, who delivered an expert talk on “Shaping Careers in a Dynamic Business Ecosystem.” Mr. Sen enlightened students about emerging skills in the corporate sector, evolving HR practices, and how young professionals can align themselves with global job markets. His session was highly motivating and highlighted real-world HR scenarios that MBA students could relate to.
The second expert session featured Dr. Ashish Sharma, Director and Independent Researcher, A.S. Research Foundation, Jaipur, who spoke on “The Role of Research in Driving Innovation and Entrepreneurship.” He emphasized the significance of intellectual curiosity and scientific temperament in management education. His examples from real-life case studies captivated the audience and instilled the spirit of inquiry and exploration among students.
These sessions contributed to developing a forward-thinking approach among MBA aspirants and reinforced the institution’s commitment to blending academic knowledge with practical industry exposure.
The third day of the MBA Online Orientation Program was marked by insightful and engaging sessions aimed at enriching students’ understanding of management concepts and real-world applications.
Session 1: Personality Development and Communication Skills
Time: 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Speaker: Dr. Vaishali, Expert in Soft Skills and Communication Training
- Importance of communication in personal and professional life - Key traits of a dynamic personality - Self-confidence building and positive body language - Interactive exercises on listening skills and self-introduction - Encouraged students to overcome stage fear and build clarity in expression
Session 2: Role of Managerial Communication in Leadership
Time: 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Speaker: Dr. Shiva Sharma, Faculty, Poddar Business School
- Essentials of managerial communication in organizational settings - Communication barriers and how to overcome them - Real-time case examples and role play - Importance of clarity, empathy, and persuasion in leadership roles - Emphasis on writing and verbal communication for aspiring managers
Both sessions were highly interactive and saw active participation from the students. The resource persons guided the students on how to make the most of their MBA journey through effective communication and professional growth.
Day 5 Activity Report – August 8, 2025
The fifth day of the Online Orientation Program for the PGDM 2025–27 at PODDAR BUSINESS SCHOOL was held on August 8, 2025. The sessions aimed to enhance communication competencies and instill traditional Indian wisdom for personal and professional development.
Speaker: Prof. Sadaf, ITM University, Navi Mumbai
Prof. Sadaf delivered an insightful session on the importance of effective business and professional communication. The session emphasized essential communication skills such as clarity, coherence, persuasion, non-verbal communication, and professional etiquette. She also addressed real-world scenarios and case examples to help students understand the role of communication in corporate success.

Speaker: Dr. Swapna Shrimali, Faculty, Poddar Business School
Dr. Swapna Shrimali conducted a thought-provoking session on values and leadership lessons drawn from Indian scriptures like the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads. She connected traditional wisdom with modern management concepts such as duty (karma), ethical leadership, emotional intelligence, and self-discipline. The session left students inspired and reflective about integrating these values in their professional journey.
